Data security and ownership on the Talent Catalog

Displaced talent own the data they upload into the Talent Catalog. They can update, change, or delete that data at any time.

TBB’s privacy and data protection policy sets out our approach to managing personal data, including data uploaded onto the Talent Catalog. Before signing up to the Talent Catalog, candidates must give explicit consent to managing organizations using their data per this policy.

Data protection measures on the Talent Catalog include:

  • Before signing up to the Talent Catalog candidates are provided with TBB’s privacy and data protection policy and asked whether they consent to TBB using their data as prescribed in the policy.
  • Applicants who sign up to the front end of the Talent Catalog create a unique password and can only access their profile with that password.
  • TBB partners accessing the Talent Catalog backend are required to sign a data-sharing agreement with TBB.
  • Individual TBB staff and partner staff are only authorized to use the Talent Catalog administration portals when they have signed a confidentiality agreement.

Authorized users require a unique password and multi-factor authorization (MFA) to log in to the Talent Catalog administration services. This ensures the person accessing the data is the authorized user.
