This article outlines settlement, relocation, and integration resources available to displaced talent and their families by destination country.

Available resources depend on the resources provided by the destination governments, as well presence of settlement agencies.

Australia

Australian Cultural Orientation Program (AUSCO): AUSCO is offered to Refugee and Special Humanitarian Program entrants over the age of five years prior to their departure for Australia. AUSCO gives practical advice about the journey to Australia, including quarantine laws and information about what to expect post-arrival and assists in ensuring a successful start to the clients’ settlement journey.

AUS Border Force: ​A guide to what you can and can’t bring in to the country​​​​​​.​ When you’re traveling overseas​ or importing items, you need to know that some items can’t be brought back with you and for others you need to get permission.

Candidate Guide: A resources prepared by Talent Beyond Boundaries covering sample living examples and tasks displaced talent and their families need to complete before and after arrival in Australia.

Information about permanent resident status, rights and responsibilities can be found at the Government of Canada website.

Next Stop Canada: Next Stop Canada provides free online services and support to those who have received approval from IRCC to come to Canada. Once in Canada, Next Stop connects the displaced talent with the local immigrant serving agency that is nearest to them for ongoing support.

IOM- Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) Programme: The Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) programme provides information and orientation sessions to refugees aged 13 and above before their departure to Canada. The main objective of the programme is to increase the integration outcomes of refugees resettling to Canada by supporting their pre-departure preparation.
